Music! My Inspiration

This summer I will have been playing violin for seven years (I started when I was four). I have been using the Suzuki method books. My favorite song is from book two; Gavotte by Lully. I, being a poet, wrote a poem about it:

The Power of Music

Can you sense the powerful feelings

This song so proudly displays?

The colors are dancing everywhere

The sound is whistling away

The music can make you smile

On the rainiest of days

The way this simple magic works

Is a powerful unknown way

The tears begin to evaporate

Their stream no longer flows

This melody of happiness

Is a joy that many know

The simple sheets of music

A violin and a bow

The magic is unimaginable

It makes your spirits glow

I really enjoy playing the violin. I am determined to, every time I discover something I enjoy, write a poem about it.
